Passed away peacefully at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital surrounded by his family on Monday, June 22, 2009, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Ellen Carew; his brother Michael Carew and sister Loretta Carey. Leaving to mourn sister Marion Johnson (Boston); (the late) Mary Luby Carew and their five children: David, Kippy, Brian, Barbara and Brenda; grandchildren: Dale, Vanessa, Mark, Samantha and Katherine; several nieces and nephews, including his special niece Linda Carey, as well as many other relatives and friends. Resting at Ryan’s Funeral Home, Bay Bulls. Visitation Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 p.m. - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place in Tors Cove on Thursday at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Interment to take place at Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery.
