Raymond Wilson

On December 5, 2010 surrounded by his family, Raymond (Ray) Wilson passed away peacefully at his home in Sussex N.B. Ray was born January 18th, 1926 and was the son of the late Arthur and Florence Wilson of Parkindale. Ray is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Jean (O'Leary) Wilson and three children; Philip (Susan) Wilson of St. Stephen, Debbie (Michael) Faulkner of Quispamsis and Stephen (Anne) Wilson of Sussex and also seven grandchildren; Melissa (Greg) Wright, Carla (Ryan) Wright, Stephanie Wilson, Samantha Faulkner, Christopher Faulkner, Jordan Wilson and Brett Wilson. Ray is also survived by his sister Jean Rogers of Parkindale as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant son, Michael and a brother, Noble. Ray was employed with NB Power in various locations around New Brunswick. He began his career as a linesman in 1948 and spent most of his 35 years as District Manager in Dalhousie, St. Stephen and Sussex. He was a member of the (NB Power) 25 year club (since 1973), he was also a 3rd degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus in Bathurst, Dalhousie and St. Stephen and an active member of the Sussex Golf and Curling club.
Resting at Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex where visitation will be held Tuesday, December 7th from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8PM. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Francis Xavier RC Church, 114 Church St, Wednesday December 8th at 11:00 AM. Donations made to the Sussex Dialysis Unit or a Charity of the Donors choice would be appreciated by the family.
