We sadly announce the passing of our beautiful brother and friend. Mark passed away at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, after a long battle with illness.
Born in Ingonish, he was the son of the late Cyrileen (O'Brien) and Doug Donovan of Ingonish.
He was a member of St. Peter's Church, Ingonish.
Mark fought a long battle with sickness but never gave up his will to live. He was a dear friend to many and will be remembered by all.
Mark is survived by his brothers, Kendall (Doris), Guelph, Ont., Kelly (Audrey), Ingonish Beach; sister, Noelle, Grand Prairie, Alta.; his niece, Shannon (Keith); his favourite little boy, Maddex, Ingonish Beach; and his lifelong friend, Steve Young, Sydney. Mark is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mark was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Dougie.
Private family viewing will be held at Fillmore & Whitman Funeral Home, Ingonish, Tuesday. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in St. Peter's Church with Rev. Dan MacDonald officiating with burial in parish cemetery.
