Carmen Wilson

Carmen K. Wilson, of Hillside View Special Care Home, Moncton and formerly of Broadway St. and Mansfield St., passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday, December 5, 2010. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mary Kathleen (MacAleese) Wilson. Carmen was retired from Betty Rubins Ltd. and was formerly employed with Nobles Ltd and Sussex Ginger Ale. She was a lifetime member of Humphrey Memorial United Church, lifetime member of the UCW, longtime member of the church choir, long time treasurer of the UCW, former leader of the Explorers Youth Group (over 40 years) and Honorary member of the Sir Charles G.D. Roberts IODE. Carmen enjoyed spending her summers at her cottage in Pointe- du-Chêne, her church played a vital part in her life which she served in various capacities. Carmen was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by Lynn Roy (Mike), Moncton; honorary grandmother to Stephanie, Emilie and Michael; several loving cousins and extended family members. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by sister, Betty and brother, Buddy.
No visitation by personal request. Funeral Service at Humphrey Memorial United Church, Moncton, Tuesday, December 7, 2010, 2:00pm. Rev. Gayle MacDonald officiating. Reception following the service in the church hall. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery. Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), in care of arrangements.
