Hachey
The death occurred peacefully and surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010 of Philip Alonzo Bernard Hachey of Summerside, P.E.I. and formerly of Miramichi, N.B. , aged 73 years. Philip was born on Sept. 4, 1937 in Miramichi, N.B. to his late parents Philip and Gwendoline (nee Madge) Hachey. Beloved husband of Diane (nee MacDonald) Hachey and loving father of William of Summerside, Shawn (Tina) of Summerside and Deanna (Scott) Hachey-Corey of Bowmanville, ON. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Kaitlynn and Kayne Corey along with several nieces and nephews. Survived by his brothers Delbert (Amanda) of Toronto, ON., Robert (Marney) of Cobourg, ON. and his sisters Evelyn "Toots" ( Eric ) Gropler of Prince George, B.C. and Cathy (Sam) Cotroneo of Mississauga, ON. Besides his parents, Philip was predeceased by his brother Leonard and sisters Judy and Bunny. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Rd., Summerside until Thursday, Dec. 9, then to St. Paul's Church, Summerside for funeral mass 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in St. Paul's Cemetery. Visiting hours on Wednesday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial donations in Philip's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Prince County Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
