Maureita Frances. Mills, 94, of River Hebert passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre.
Born in Port Greville she was a daughter of the late Capt J. Lenwood and Armena (Allen) Mills.
Mom loved her family, trailering with Dad, and having company. She was an avid cook and seamstress and all around great home maker. She was an adherent of the Trinity United Church of River Hebert and a member of Unit 2 of the U.C.W.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Barbara (Don) Dillman of Elderbank, NS, Beverly White of Fox River, NS, Terry Mills of Pugwash, NS; 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren; niece Pearl Mitchell; nephew, Dale Hatfield.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Murray in 1980, son-in-law Lynn White and a sister, Dorothy Hatfield, and 2 great grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Furlong-Jones Funeral Home, 667-8777 (70 Church St. Amherst) with visiting hours on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 from 2 to 4 pm. A memorial service will be held at the Trinity United Church, River Hebert on Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 2 pm. Burial will follow in the Hillside Cemetery, River Hebert East.
