Bathurst, NB - Yvonne Aubé, wife of Gabriel Aubé of Bathurst passed away peacefully at the Foyer Notre Dame de Lourdes in Bathurst, surrounded by her family on Sunday December 5th, 2010 following a lengthy illness at the age of 67. Born in Armstrong Brook, NB, she was the daughter of the late Clement and Elizabeth (Legacy) Pitre. Yvonne lovingly raised her family in Armstrong Brook and never was the type of person to be in the spotlight. She was always there to support her family and was very proud of their accomplishments. She loved to read, knit, sow and spend time with her family and friends. Besides her husband Gabriel of 49 years, she is survived by: two daughters; Pauline (Regan) Steeves of Moncton, NB,
Suzanne (Gilles) Landry of Bathurst, NB, two brothers; Hector Pitre and Victor Bertin, both of Hampton, NB, three grandchildren; Gabriel Landry, Natasha Landry and Robert Steeves. Many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitations at the funeral home. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 10, 2010 at 2 p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, St. Peter's Ave., Bathurst. In Memory of Yvonne Aubé, donations to the Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (www.psp.org) or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
