Ovidio Celeste died peacefully on Sunday, December 5, at Billings Court Manor, Burlington, Ontario at the age of 98 years. Beloved husband of the late Rose. Dearly loved father of Betty (Jim) Carr, Leno (Joan) Celeste, Murray (Jenny) Celeste, Brenda Jamieson. Predeceased by daughter Elisa and son Joey. Survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; brother of Bruno (Wanda) Celeste, Menotti, and the late Constante. Ovidio was born in Gagliano, Aterno, Italy and came to Canada in 1930. He worked in the underground coal mines in Minto, NB for 35 years.
Visitation and Funeral will be held Friday, December 10, 2010 at the Minto Funeral Home with visiting 12:00 noon until 2:00PM Service time. Burial will follow. Ovidio will be interred next to Rose at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Main St., Minto, NB.
