Harvey Noel Stalwick

Harvey Noel Stalwick, a dedicated educator, volunteer, social worker, husband, father and grandfather, passed into glory on November 29, 2010 in Tacoma, Washington. Harvey was born in Wakaw, Saskatchewan on December 24, 1937. Preceding him in death are his wife of 48 years, Margaret, his parents Adolph & Ida Stalwick, and in-laws Ida & George Scott and David & Norma Scott. He is survived by sons Kenneth and Trevor of Regina, SK; brother Allan (Paula) Stalwick of Paddockwood, SK; in-laws Elnor (Bill) Harrison of Dysart, SK, Melvin (Doris) Scott of Medicine Hat, AB, and Maxine (Ron) Follick of Strongfield, SK; and numerous nieces, nephews, and their families.

In Washington State Harvey is survived by his wife Juanita, and stepchildren Carlin (Cody) Harris, Melanie (John) Summerour, and Kevin (Leesa) Myrbo. Harvey & Juanita share fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is survived also by all the friends, colleagues and other family members to whom Harvey was a special person.

The memorial service will be held on Friday, December 10 at 1pm at Trinity Lutheran Church near Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. Harvey had a great love of humanity, and he would be honoured to know that other people are being helped in this way. A graveside ceremony will take place at Skudesnes Lutheran Church near Loreburn, Saskatchewan next summer, to which all of Harvey's family, colleagues and friends are most welcome. The exact date is yet to be determined.
