Eva Pollock
Eva Gladys Pollock (nee Colpitts), 92, of the Jordan Lifecare Centre, and formerly of Petitcodiac, passed away at her residence on December 7, 2010. Born in Salisbury, Eva was a daughter of the late Walton and Clara (Rogers) Colpitts, and was the wife of the late Lloyd Pollock. She was a member of the St. James' United Church, where she was the organist and choir director for many years, a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 41, a lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary, and was a member of several choral groups. Eva is survived by her sons: Bill (Mary) and Mike (Shirley), all of Ottawa, Dan (Marilyn) of Petitcodiac, and Rodney (Joann) of Riverview; her brothers: Louis (Maude) of Moncton, Gordon "Doc" (Evelyn) of Salisbury, and Jamie (Edris) of Moncton; as well as by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents and husband, Eva was predeceased by her grandson, Kenny; her sisters: Greta, Iva, and Dora; her brother, Bill; and by her special friend and companion, Kenneth Hopper.
There will be no visitation as per Eva's request. The funeral service will be held on Friday December 10, 2010 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bob Campbell officiating in Armstrong's Funeral Home, Petitcodiac. A reception will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 41 in Petitcodiac immediately following the service. Interment will be held in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens at a later date.
