James "Jim" Montplaisir
James (Jim) Arthur Montplaisir, born October 23, 1954 in Dalhousie, passed away October 29, 2010 at Campbellton Regional Hospital at the age of 56. He was the son of Geraldine (Harquail) Montplaisir and the late Arthur Montplaisir. James was predeceased by brother, Theodor; sister, Cora; and partner, Jocelyn. James was known for his charisma. He had many friends. He loved to make people laugh and smile. He was always telling jokes and never the same one twice, which everyone enjoyed. He was also a fabulous cook. James worked on the ships for many years. In addition to his mother Geraldine of Dalhousie, NB, James is survived by one son, Travis of Oromocto, NB; three step children, Cheri of Bathurst, NB, Terri Lynn and Rodney of Kitchener, Ontario; step grandchildren Sasha of Bathurst, NB; Ryver James of Kitchener, Ontario; his siblings; Irene of Bathurst, NB; Kenny of Halifax, Nova Scotia; David of Dalhousie, NB; one niece, Kimberly of Toronto, Ontario; one nephew, Jason of BC; and aunts and uncles of Dalhousie, NB.
Cremation was in care of Maher's Funeral Homes Ltd. in Campbellton, NB. A gathering was held for family and friends in memory of James at the Dalhousie Lions Club. Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Saint John, NB, where he will rest beside his partner, Jocelyn. He will continue to be loved and remembered by many. May you rest in peace.
