The death of Beverly Perry, age 79, of Springhill, occurred at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Saturday, December 4, 2010.

Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Beatrice (Rector) Olsen.

A wonderful homemaker, she loved to cook, knit and crochet. She made sure every new baby had one of her handmade crochet sweater sets. During her years of dialysis, she remembered her friends at the DuMont Hospital with her home baking. When the power was out everyone knew to go to Beverly's kitchen to get fed. A proud and happy grandmother, she took every occasion to brag about them.

Beverly will be sadly missed by her husband of 61 years, Raymond Perry; 6 children, Beverly (Robert) Gogan, Hubley, NS, William (Bill) (Penny) and Raymond (Nancy), both of Williamsdale, NS, Marjorie (Chuck) VanBuskirk and Rachel (Kenny Brown) Reynolds, both of Pugwash, NS and Donna (Tim) Rolfe, Red Lake, ON; 15 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; sisters, a twin Beatrice Burton, and Sarah (Terry) Rolfe, both of Springhill; brothers, Peter (Donna) Olsen, New Glasgow and Ralph (Gena) Olsen, London, ON.

She was predeceased by a sister, Marjorie and her husband Earl Veinotte.

Beverly's remains have been cremated under the care and direction of the AH Brown Funeral Home, Springhill (597-2361). By her request there will be no visitation or funeral service.
