Rushton, I. Ferne - 61, Bass River, passed away on December 8, 2010, at home. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Maude (Payne) Rushton. She is survived by brothers, Dwayne Rushton (Carolyn), Truro; James Rushton (Lillian), Glenholme; sisters, Kathleen Rushton (Louise), Glenholme; Bardena Gallant, Moncton; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Ferne was predeceased by a half-brother, James Junior; half-sister, Carol Klevin; a sister Velveeta in infancy; a son in infancy; companion, Bernie McIsaac; brother-in-law, Cal Gallant. By Ferne's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Colchester SPCA or the Canadian Cancer Society.
