COTTER, Eileen May (Grant) (nee Pinsent)- Born April 22, 1920 in New Perlican, Newfoundland and passed away on November 30, 2010 in Niagara Falls, Ontario. Eileen in survived by her brother John Pinsent of Edmonton; stepsons: Augustus, Peter and Donald Cotter; stepdaughter Elizabeth (Betty) Pollard; nephew John Pinsent, of Edmonton; nieces Jeanette L. Morton (Stuart), of Kelowna, BC and Shirley J. Pinsent, of Edmonton; special friends: Roy and Marilyn Comfort, of Welland; other close relatives: Jason (Linette) Morton, Marlena Morton, Jonathan Douglas (Yvette) Pinsent, Cpl. Robert Joseph Pinsent, Chantal Marie (Tarok) Pinsent, Tierany Brianne Tobiasson and Kyle Wesley Tobiasson. She is predeceased by her parents John S. Pinsent and Margaret Pinsent (nee George) both of Newfoundland. Eileen passed away after an 8 year battle with Alzheimer's Disease. She will be remembered as a kind, gentle and friendly person who quickly won the hearts of those who had the good fortune of knowing her. She enjoyed life to the fullest and especially enjoyed the times she spent with family and friends in Newfoundland, her native province. She will also be missed by many friends she had in St. John's, Newfoundland where she lived for many years with her first husband Charles J. Grant. Eileen's family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the Management and Staff at Millennium Trail Manor who provided such wonderful love to her while she was under their care. We especially extend our thanks to Dr. Porwal who treated her with such kindness and respect during her final days of life.
