At her residence, December 10, 2010, Mrs. Lorraine Hersey of New Denmark passed away at the age of 78 years. She was the wife of Eldon Hersey. Born at Blue Bell in 1932, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Grace (Neilsen) Jensen. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Grace Dionne (Jerry) of Perth-Andover, two sons, Rodney of Halifax and Dana (partner Stephanie Bent) of Dartmouth, two granddaughters, Crystal O'Neil (Troy) and Twila St-Amand (Justin), three great grandchildren, Hanna, Brady and Haley.
Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, at St. Ansgar's Anglican Church, New Denmark, from 1 to 2 p.m. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 14th at 2 p.m. from St. Ansgar's Church with Rev. Bob Leblanc officiating, assisted by Rev. Bonnie Leblanc. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.
