It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of
beloved father, grandfather and brother, Albert Quinton of Catalina, aged 78 years. Born in Red Cliff, Bonavista Bay, Albert was pre-deceased in
childhood by his beloved daughter Janice; parents Albert and Bertha;
stepfather George Penney; and brother Alphaeus. Leaving to mourn
are Eleanor Quinton; children Colleen, Sandra, Peter (Barbara),
Victoria (Glen), and Mitchell; sisters Edna (Ray) and Jean (Kevin);
grandchildren Alexander, Brent, Alicia and Charlotte; and much
loved nieces and nephews. Also leaving to mourn, a large circle of
friends and relatives. Albert grew up in Keels, NL. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education from Memorial University and to raise his family in Catalina, NL. He will be remembered as a dedicated father and teacher who was loved and respected by family, friends and students. His presence will be dearly missed. He will be resting at Strathie's Funeral Home, Catalina on Tuesday from 6pm-9pm and on Wednesday from 12 pm-4 pm and 6 pm-9 pm. Funeral service to be held on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at 2pm from St. Peter's Anglican Church. Interment
to follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Catalina. Flowers gratefully accepted.
