Passed peacefully away on December 13, 2010, at The Carbonear Interfaith Home, at the age of 90 years, Marie Sheppard, formerly of Bell Island. Marie was the daughter of the late Robert and Rebecca Norman. Predeceased by her husband, William (1991) and infant daughter, Olive (1938); infant brother Wm and sister Enid; her step-mother Annie Norman, sister Bessie and half brother Walter. Leaving to mourn her sister, Olive Hyland, Kingston, ON; brother, Granville (Marge), Midland, ON; her half brothers and sisters: Bob (Jean), Cambridge, ON, Bill (Elsie), Langley, Alberta, Harry (Peggy), Trenton, ON, Ralph (Carolyn), St. John's, NL, Tom (Christel), Trenton, ON, Fred (Ann), Ottawa, ON, Jean Norman, Barbara White, Isobel Myers (friend Jeff), Cambridge, ON; also many members of the Sheppard Family and many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and her special great-nephew, Rylee, who made sure she had fresh fish this past summer. Resting at Pendergast Funeral Home, Bell Island. Visiting hours Tuesday, December 14, from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Service at Jackson United Church at 11 a.m. December 15 with interment to follow at the new Anglican Cemetery, Bell Island.
