Julia Estelle Reddin (Haines)

At the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, on Tuesday, December 14, 2010, of J. Estelle Reddin of New Dominion, P.E.I., retired dietitian, home economics teacher, and professor at UPEI.
Born January 2, 1923, in Moncton, N.B. Beloved matriarch of "the Tea Hill Reddins": Nancy and Pat (Rush), Mt. Albion; Ellie and Kevin (O'Brien), Cornwall; Tom and Agatha, San Jose, California; Arthur and Carmen (Gomez), Huatulco, Mexico; Vicki and Sonny (Gauthier), Rustico; Tony and Marion (Copleston), Bonshaw; Aggi-Rose, New Dominion; and Peggy and Wade (Gauthier), New Dominion. Proud grandmother of Ryan Conway Reddin and Julia Conway; Marianne Reddin Aldrich, Beth Burton and Robbie and Ginny Reddin; Laura, Mikaela and Rosie Gauthier; Lindsey and Andy Reddin; Jesse Cousins and Max Knechtel; and Patti MacDougall; as well as her great-grandchildren. She will be lovingly remembered by her nephew, Simon Wills and family of Northleach, England; her cousins, Danny Haines and Horace, David and Brian Kempster and their families; sister-in-law, Irene Reddin; Sandi Clark; the extended Reddin family and the Zaats.
Predeceased by her husband, Bill Reddin; her parents, William C. and Annie Haines; and sister, Dorothy Wills.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home for visiting hours Thursday from 1:30 to 4 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at St. Francis of Assisi, Cornwall, on Friday at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Martin of Tours & St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Cumberland.
Family and friends are invited to share comfort and fond memories at a gathering Thursday evening from 7-9 p.m. at the Mack (corner of University and Grafton.) Please refrain from wearing scented products.
Memorial donations to the John Howard Society, Family Violence Prevention Services, Nature Conservancy of Canada, or the P.E.I. Environmental Health Co-op would be appreciated.
