Passed away peacefully on December 14, 2010, surrounded by her family, in St. John's. Born in Buchans in 1936, she was a loving mother, proud grandmother and dear sister. Predeceased by Paul W. Fardy, her beloved husband and best friend for 50 years. Happily remembered by her children Brian (Maria) of Halifax, Mark (Michelle) of Waterloo, Marie Loan (Fardy) of Kitchener, Paul of Toronto and Joanne (Brian) Brophy of St. John's. Wonderful Nanny to Adam, Eric, Nicole, Kristin, Brendan, Mark, Laura and Kate. Survived by the family of Jim and Nellie Beresford; her brothers Fr. Jim, Aidan and Brendan and sisters Sr. Marie, Sr. Ruth, Kay, Anne and Carmel. Predeceased by her brother, David. Fondly remembered by her in-laws, the family of Hugh and Mary Fardy. Teresa was a Registered Nurse, providing care at the Grace General Hospital for many years, first as nursing night supervisor and then as the manager of psychiatric services. Cremation has taken place. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, December 17 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Caul's Funeral Home at 84 LeMarchant Rd., in St. John's. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Corpus Christi at 260 Waterford Bridge Rd., St. John's. A private interment to follow. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society and Canadian Red Cross would be appreciated by the family.
