Baker, Elsie Marguerite - 90, Truro died Tuesday, June 23, 2009 at home. Born in Falmouth, Elsie was a daughter of the late Medford V. and Pearl (Duncanson) Taylor. She married Ross Baker in 1941 and lived in Truro for many years. She is survived by daughter, Janet; granddaughter, Elizabeth (Ian); several nieces and nephews and dear friend, Martha, whose exceptional care for Elsie provided great comfort in her last days. She was predeceased by her husband, Ross Baker; brothers, Joe and Medford ; sister, Karleen Strong. There was no visitation by request. A private graveside committal service was held on Friday, June 26, 2009 at 11:00 am in Center Falmouth Cemetery, Falmouth. Donations in Elsie’s memory may be made to The Elizabeth Bishop House, Great Village, c/o Sandra Barry, 1323 Dresden Row, Apt. 3, Halifax, NS B3J 2J9 where Elsie spent many happy hours in her later years.
