Gary Lipscombe

Gary R. Lipscombe, 70, of Moncton, passed away at his residence on Wednesday December 15, 2010. Born in London, ON, he was the son of Cecile (Wright) Lipscombe of Moncton and the late Roy Lipscombe. Gary was a former co-owner and co-founder of Action Fasteners Ltd. and was retired from ITW Buildex Fastening Systems. He was a member of Highfield Baptist Church attended Hillside Baptist Church and First Cambridge Narrows Baptist Church and was a former choir member at all three churches. Gary was a former member of the Moncton Barbershop Chorus and enjoyed music, spending time at the family cottage at Cambridge Narrows, trailering and vacationing in Florida. His hobbies included fishing, vegetable and flower gardening and cars. He enjoyed socializing with his friends and family and loved spending time with his grandchildren, especially attending their sporting events, whether Moncton Minor, Junior High or High School. In addition to his mother Cecile, Gary will be sadly missed by his wife of over 45 years, Jeanne (Seeley) Lipscombe; their children, Grant (Ann) of Quispamsis, Derek (Doris), Riverview, Andrea Walchuk, Riverview; precious grandchildren, Georgia, Kayla, Kristyn, Tyler, Breanna, Lauren; brothers, Paul, London, ON, David (Shelley), Ammon; nieces, Dr. Allison Doiron (Kevin), Quispamsis, Bethany Lipscombe, Moncton; sisters-in-law, Muriel Carter (Bob), Anne Buck (Kenneth), Marilla Harris (late Bill).
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service, Hillside Baptist Church, Monday December 20, 2010, 11:00 am, Rev. Gerry Reddy and Rev. Gordon Horsman officiating. Reception following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In Gary's memory, donations to the Kidney Foundation, NB Heart & Stroke, Canadian Cancer Society or a memorial of choice would be appreciated.
