Doris Kervin

Doris I. Kervin, 90, of Sunset Village, Moncton, with her loving family at her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday December 16, 2010. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Cuthbert and Regina (Chamberlain) Steeves. Doris was retired from Colpitts the Stationer with 25 years service, was a longtime member of Lewisville Baptist Church, Dominion Life Member of the WMS, a member of the Christian Women's Club and a 50 year member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Royal Canadian Legion, Passamaquoddy Branch #8. Doris was an avid knitter, enjoyed walking, playing skip-bo and dominoes, socializing with her friends and spending precious time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great granddaughter. Doris will be sadly missed by her children, Margaret-Ann Kervin, David Kervin, Ronald Kervin (Bobbie), all of Moncton; her precious grandchildren, Jason Kervin (Chantal), Kingston, ON, Jennifer Kervin, Toronto; treasured great granddaughter, Brooke; brother, Lawrence Steeves (Ruth), Moncton; several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Mildred; brother, Harland and former husband, Leo G. Kervin (1991).
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Sunday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Monday December 20, 2010, 1:00 pm, Rev. Robert Steeves officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In Doris' memory, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, Friends of the Moncton Hospital (Neo-Natal Unit) or a memorial of choice would be appreciated.
