Wright, Ellen Shirley - 81, Valley, Colchester Co. passed peacefully on the morning of December 17, 2010. Ellen was born and grew up in Windsor Forks, Hants Co., the much loved youngest daughter of the late Harry and Nellie MacNeil. She was the last survivor of her immediate family. Ellen taught school for many years in Bible Hill and surrounding areas. She enjoyed her retirement years, spending her time knitting and providing enjoyable companionship to her family and many close friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman Wright. Ellen is survived by her children, Robert, Joanne (Allan) Archibald, Jean (Bruce Mitchell) and Mary Ellen Wright-Power; grandchildren, Katie, Robert, John Pius, Ellen, Bill, Maggie and Dan and the many nieces and nephews who were a very important part of her life. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 20th from 7-9 pm; memorial service on Tuesday, December 21st at 2:00 pm both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev. Brian DeLong officiating. Interment at a later date in Crossroads Cemetery, Valley. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
