Prosser, Earl Garfield - 86, Bible Hill (Mulgrave)
It is with great regret that we announce the peaceful death of Earl Garfield Prosser on December 17, 2010 in Colchester Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Born in Mulgrave on August 6, 1924, he was a son of the late Perry and Bessie (Parks) Prosser. Earl proudly served his country during the Second World War in the North Atlantic with the Royal Canadian Navy and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #26. He worked for the CNR for 45 years as a machinist, finishing his career as shop foreman, Truro. Earl is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Rosalyn Jeanette (Dixon); children, Gloria (Ernie) Dooley, Whitehorse YK; Robert (Ann) Prosser, Dartmouth; David (Donna) Prosser, Hammonds Plains; Debbie (Kenny) Parks, Mulgrave; Cheryl (Michael) Layden, Mulgrave; grandchildren, Nancy, Sarah, Sean, Adam, Emily, John, Nicole, Michael; great-granddaughter, Shae. The family wish to express heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Vimy Court Nursing Home for their excellent care and attention. We would also like to thank the nurses of 3-North and other staff of Colchester Regional Hospital for their professionalism and compassionate medical and palliative support. Dr. Singh and Dr. Locke, please accept our deepest thanks for your excellent care and judgment. No visitation or service by request. Interment at a later date.
