Rosanne Goguen
Rosanne Mary (Roy) Goguen - 1930 - 2010 - Rose Goguen of Pointe-du-Chene, N.B. passed away at the Moncton Hospital on December 16, 2010. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Helena Roy. Rose spent all her life in the Moncton area. She was employed at Eaton's in Moncton and retired as the personnel manager after more than 30 years of service. Rose was a member of the Shediac Seniors Club, a former president of the Zonta Club, and she was a former president of the Moncton Curling Association's women's business league. Over the years, Rose enjoyed curling, playing cards and travelling with her many friends and colleagues. Rose will always be remembered as a sweet and kind woman who cherished her time spent with friends.
Rose is survived by her son, the pride of the life, Terry Goguen of Fredericton, sisters, Rita (Alcide) LeBlanc, Shirley (Tony) Bourque and her close sister, Sally (Ernie) Calder, who she lived with for many years. Sincere appreciation is extended to the Moncton hospital staff who graciously took care of Rose during her long stay there. A special thank you to Rose's niece, Louise Fisher, for her affection and dedication this past year, and to Connie Fields for her very special friendship. The body is resting at Chartersville Funeral Home in Dieppe. Upon request, there will be no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Friends of the Moncton Hospital, or the charity of the donor's choice. Spring interment.
