1923 - 2010 - Ruby Ellen Smith (nee Simpson) in her 88th year passed away peacefully at Forest Dale Home in Riverside Albert with her husband at her side. Ruby was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Lavangie Simpson (Terris) of Edgetts Landing. In addition to her husband Herbert G. Smith, Ruby is survived by her three daughters; Carolyn of Riverview, Doreen Steeves (G. Michael) of Weldon and Beth of Dauphin, Manitoba, two grandchildren, Drew Steeves (Jaci Murray) of Lower Coverdale and Megan Steeves of Weldon. She is also survived by her brothers, Royden (Ted), Donn (Joe) and his wife Lorna, and Vaughan and his wife Gwen, sisters, Muriel Hawkes and Shirley Cook, sister-in-law, Anne Simpson and by several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Ruby was predeceased by her brothers, Curtis, Glendon (Dick) and sister, Marion Yeomans. Visitation will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 from 1:15pm until the time of the service. Funeral service will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel at 2pm with Reverend Chris VanBuskirk officiating. If so desired the family would appreciate donations to the Forest Dale Home Foundation, the Kidney Foundation or to a charity of the donor's choice.
