Anita LeBlanc

1941 - 2010 - Anita LeBlanc, 69, recently of Saint-Antoine and formerly of Notre-Dame, passed away on Saturday, December 18th, 2010, at the Dr.-Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital following a battle with a rare cancer. Born in Saint-Paul, NB, she was the daughter of the late Placide and the late Delima (née: Cormier) Robichaud. Mrs. LeBlanc enjoyed dancing and playing cards, her game of choice was "200". She is survived by three sons: Réginald (Mary) LeBlanc and Roger (Suzanne) LeBlanc, both of Notre-Dame and Michel (Julie) of Saint-Antoine; seven grandchildren: Chantal, Mélanie, Pascal, Marc-Étienne, Joey, Mark and Jessica; one sister, Yvonne (Raymond) Bourgeois of Pré-d'en-Haut; four brothers: Willie (Alma) Robichaud of Rogersville, Roméo Robichaud of Saint-Antoine, Alyre (Bernadette) Robichaud of Dieppe and Alfred (Martha) Robichaud of Aldouane; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law from the LeBlanc family; several nieces and nephews; her special friend, Donald as well as several friends from the dances and card games. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Henri in 2002 and also by one brother, baby Gerald.
Visitation will be held from the Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur Funeral Salon, Notre Dame, NB, on Monday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm and also on Tuesday from 2 pm until time of service. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur Roman Catholic Church, Notre-Dame, NB, on Tuesday, December 21st, 2010 at 4 pm. Interment in the parish cemetery, Notre-Dame, NB. Donations to the Dr-Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation "Tree of Hope", or towards paraplegic equipment for her granddaughter, Mélanie would be appreciated by the family. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Palliative Care Unit of the Dr.-G.-L.-Dumont Hospital for the care and compassion given during her stay.
