John F. Geldart 75, of Riverview passed away at The Dr.Georges Dumont Hospital on Saturday, December 18th, 2010. Born on the Blakney Road on October 15th, 1935 he was the son of Vaughn and the late Jessie (Duncan) Geldart. John retired from the CN in 1994 following 39 years service. An avid bowler, he loved the outdoors, whether it be hunting or outside in his garden at home. Besides his father, John is survived by his daughter Karen of Riverview, sisters; Marian Barrieau (George) of Miramichi and Peggy LeBlanc (Gary) of Moncton, brothers; Alden (Margaret) of Lewis Mountain, James (Krystyna) of Tennessee, Joseph of Edmonton and Robert (Pam) of Kitchener, as well as several nieces and nephews. John was predeceased by his wife Pat (McMullin), his son Kevin, sisters; Ruth Amyot, Dorthy Walker and his brother; Alan Geldart.
The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Cobb's Funeral home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview (869 2007), on Tuesday, December 21st from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service to take place from Cobb's Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, December 22nd, at 11:00 am with Pastor Vincent Burgess officiating. Interment to take place at Alderwood Cemetery.
