Drew, Carl Seymour December 18, 2010 The death occurred peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home, Charlottetown, on Saturday, December 18, 2010, of Carl Drew of Charlottetown and formerly of Truro, N.S., age 64.
While surrounded by family and friends, the gentle soul of Carl slipped away, quietly in the night; leaving a body too frail to continue to contain a spirit with such capacity to give, love and humour.
Carl is survived by his twin sister, Carol Drew (Barry Myra), Lucasville, N.S.; sister, Faye Ryan (Malcolm), Moshers Corner, N.S.; brother, Robert "Bob" (Peggy), Truro, N.S.; step-son, Graham Putnam; and faithful dog, Marti; as well as many nieces and nephews and countless friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Bob and Reta Drew, sister, Iris, brother, Butch and life partner, Wendell Boyle.
Carl was a NSCAD grad of fine arts, bringing an artistic flare to all he put his mind or hand to; and it's been said that if "friend" were a science, he would have a doctorate.
No visitation or funeral service by personal request. A celebration of Carl's life will be held at the Brackley Commons Community Centre on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 7 p.m. Please bring your memories of this generous soul to share.
Sadly missed, but greatly enriched to have been part of his life... Rest well.
