Peacefully at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010, with her family by her side of Hazel Harriet Evangeline Gordon of Freetown, P.E.I., and formerly of South Kildare, aged 77 years. Born on Feb. 24, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Eliza (nee Jones) Wells. Lovingly remembered by her children: Doreen (Mike) Costain of Freetown; Betty Woodgate of Montague; Linda (William) McKendrick of Cambridge, Ont.; Barb McKendrick of Summerside; and Billy of Summerside. Dear grandmother to: Geneva Hutchinson, Chris Costain, Debbie MacDonald, Jeremy McKendrick, Crystal McKendrick, Heather McKendrick, Charlene Iantosca, Lindsay McKenrdick, Caitlin Woodgate, Matthew McKendrick, and Ashley McKendrick. Great-grandmother to Chelsey Wood, Morgan Hutchinson, Evan Costain, Jacob Hutchinson, Jordan Costain, and Nathan Costain. Dear sister to Jean Wells of Alberton, and sister-in-law to Esther Wells of Huntley. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters: Jim, Ada MacMillan, Wilson, Eddie, Johnny, Mary Gordon, Robert, Albert, George and Erwin. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton, from where the funeral will be held on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 21, at 2 p.m., Rev. Andrew Mortimer officiating. Interment in the family plot in St. Peter's Anglican Church Cemetery. If so desired, memorials St. Peter's Anglican Church Cemetery Fund would be gratefully appreciated.
