Passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday December 17th, 2010, Glenys "Peggy" Simmons at the age of 62 years. Beloved wife of Tom and loving mother of Jeanette Ollerhead (Daryl), Corey Normore and Nancy Normore. Step mother of Hope Hall (Dan) and Paul Simmons. Proud grandmother of Alyshia, Cassandra, and Darryl Jr. Ollerhead, Alexander and Kaitlyn Cordova, Thomas, Lindsay, and Christina Hall, her sisters; Mrs.Rema Attwood, Marie (Mrs. Ward Parsons), Isabell (Mrs. David Hewitt), and Linda (Mrs. George Corston), the father of her children Byron Normore, Peggy was predeceased by her parents; Wesley and Claria White, brother; Charle White and brothers-in-law; William Attwood, and John Parsons. Peggy was a proud member of A.A. and a retired nurse with Peel Memorial Hospital. Friends were received at the J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home 11582 Trafaigar Rd. North of Maple Ave. Georgetown, Ontario, on Monday December 20th, 2010 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm. The funeral mass will be held at The Holy Cross Catholic Church 224 Maple Ave, Georgetown, Ontario, on Tuesday, December 21st, 2010 at 10: am, In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Holy Cross Church, The Georgetown Hospital Foundation or The St. George's Anglican Church Memorial fund in Peggy's memory would be gratefully appreciated by the family. The family will be receiving family and friends from the St. Georges Anglican Church in Cormack, NL on Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 pm , where also a memorial service will take place from on Thursday, December 23rd, 2010 at 11: am with Rev: Edmund Laldin officiating with the burial to follow at the family plot of the church cemetery. The funeral arrangements are entrusted to J.S. Jones & Son Funeral Home, Georgetown, Ontario and to Parsons Funeral Home & Chapel 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake, NL.
