Passed peacefully away at the Escasoni Complex surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 18th, 2010, George Edward Winter - Aged 85 years. Predeceased by his wife Wilhelmina in 2000 and his great-grandson Roary Caulder in 2008. Leaving to mourn his eight children: Flora (Bill) O'Brien; Wayne (Roxine); Sheila O'Keefe; Barry (Linda); Edward (Donna); Sharon (Randy) Clarke; Perry (Michelle) and Wilfred (Patsy); 15 grandchildren: Lori Ann, Jennifer, Sheri-Lee, Brandi, Alicia, Christopher, Cathy, Sarah, Susan, Danielle, Amanda, Ryan, Kyle, Matthew and Melanie; 5 great grand-children: Dakota, Brady, Sierra, Nitika and Brody. Thanks to extended family and friends. A special thank you for the loving care and attention Dad received from the staff of 2 West at the Escasoni Complex for the past four years. Visitation will take place at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday, December 20th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.; and Tuesday, December 21st from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service to take place on Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010 at 11 a.m. from Barrett's Chapel. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery Kenmount Road. Flowers are gratefully being accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.
