Ruth MacLeod, a resident of Sydney, passed away on Saturday, Dec.18, 2010, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, she was a daughter of the late James and Margaret (MacSween) MacKenzie.
Ruth was a member of the Salvation Army Sydney Community Church.
Ruth was a loving sister to her brother, Ralph and her sister, Blanche. Left to mourn her loss is her companion, Alex Walker and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Ruth was predeceased by her first husband, Gordon and her sister-in-law, Margaret MacRitchie.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2010, from 12 to 2 p.m., followed by a funeral service in the chapel, with Major Dan Roode officiating. Interment in Little Narrows Cemetery.
