It is with great sadness that the family of the late James Joseph Carroll of Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador (formerly of Outer Cove) announce his passing on Sunday, June 7, 2009, at the Labrador Health Centre, at the age of 75 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife Gladys: children Clara (Lloyd) Mugford, Jim (Theresa), Cathy (Simon) Edwards, Denise (Milan) Rose; grandchildren Cherie (Jamie), Ryan, Christie, Justin, JD, Madison, Joel, Tegan, Shasta and Summer; great-grandchildren Onica and Damien; brothers John (Alice) and Pat; sisters Margaret (Patrick) Cadigan, Bride Hickey, Mary (Howard) Morry and Catherine Hickey; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by parents James and Catherine Carroll, brothers Walter and Richard and sister Annie. Funeral service was held on June 11, 2009 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
