Passed peacefully away at the James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Monday, December 20th, 2010 Verdun Whitehorn, age 72. Predeceased by her parents Gordon and Emeline Parrott, sisters Daphne Ivany and Irene Raymond, brother's-in-law Walt Raymond and Weldon Ivany, sister-in-law Dot Parrott. Leaving to mourn with loving memories are her loving husband of 54 years Howard (Howie), sons Wayne (Janet), Gord, daughters Lynn Walsh (Randy), Lorna Budden (Gary), Gigi Abbott (Shawn), grandchildren Laurie, Robyn, Mark, Kyle, Jeremy, Quinn, Aidan, great-grandchildren Alyson, Ryan , sister Joan Larcombe of GF-W, Ted Parrott (Grace) of Gander, Bill (Marg) of Nova Scotia, niece Gloria Penney and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander. Funeral service was held on Wednesday December 22nd at 2:00 P.M. from St. Martin's Anglican Cathedral, Gander. Inurnment followed at Commonwealth War Graves on the Trans Canada Highway. Donations in Mrs. Whitehorn's memory may be made to the Central Northeast Health Foundation.
