The death occurred at his home in Oyster Bed Bridge on Tuesday, December 21, 2010, of Eric Gallant, age 71.
Eric was the beloved husband of Bernadette; loving father of Roland (Susan), Beaumont, Alberta, Lisa Gallant (Jon Dimick) and Erin Welcher (Patrick), both of Halifax, Nova Scotia; and Papa to Tyler, Jacob, Jaron and Justin; and Lucy and Lola. He is also survived by his sisters, Arles Ferguson, Marion Ross (Jim) and Lynn Hughes (Jon); and brothers, Carl (Roz) and Ivan (Joanne); and numerous nieces and nephews. Eric was predeceased by his parents, Emile and Cecilia Gallant; brother, Roland, in infancy; and his parents-in-law, Raymond and Mary Arbing.
Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Monday, December 27, 2010, from 4-6 p.m. No funeral service by personal request.
