HEMEON, Kenneth Earl, 59, Sandy Point, Shelburne County passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2010 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Sandy Point he was a son of the late Walter "Bud" and Grace (Buchanan) Hemeon. Kenny was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was employed with the Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal and recently received his 30 year Service Award. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. He was an avid "story teller" and loved spending time with family and friends. He loved the outdoors. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Kenny is survived by his wife, the former Lynn Hamilton; sons Brian; Jason (Krista), both of Ohio; step-son, John (Crystal) Hughes, Fort McMurray; brothers, Clyde (Deanna), Lewis Lake; Roger (Mary); Floyd (Pearl); Gary (Judy), all of Sandy Point; grandchildren, Mekayla, Kiara and John "JJ" as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by brothers, Terry, Gerald, Philip and Eugene. A memorial service was held in H.M. Huskilson's Chapel on Monday, December 20, with Rev. Joanne McFadden officiating. Interment was in Dall Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
