It is with great sadness that we announce the death at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on June 27, 2009, of Louis A. Power of 90 Pownal St., Charlottetown, age 88 years. Surrounded by his beloved wife of 66 years, Dorothy (Dot) Power (nee Dunn) and family: George (Patricia), Earl (Hennie), Mervin (Mary) and Geraldine (Geri) Morrison (Frank). Grandfather of Paul, Ian, Susan, Kenny, Kim, Greg, Melissa and Lana Power, Megan and Amy Morrison. Great-grandfather of Jalisa, Tyson, Easton, Jordan, Jill, Sarah and Matt. Uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Louis was the last surviving member of his family. He was predeceased by his parents: John and Mary (McKenna) Power, his brothers Joseph and Emmett Power, Melvin Harper, his sisters Georgie McKenna, Lauretta Curran and Stella Power and special family friend, John Woodgate. Resting at the Hillsboro Funeral Home, 2 Hollis Avenue Stratford, Monday, June 29, 6-9 p.m. Funeral mass at Holy Redeemer, Tuesday, June 30, at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Joachim’s Cemetery, Vernon River.
