"The Long Thin Fellow" It is with great sadness that the family of the late J. Arnold DeLancey announce his passing at his family residence in Moncton on Wednesday, December 22, 2010. Arnold was born in Quincy, Mass. and was the son of the late Harry and Olive DeLancey. Predeceased by Viola (Vi) DeLancey (April 2009), his faithfully loving wife of 50 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, son, Abdullah Robert DeLancey and his wife Cindy-Lee; three grandchildren, Jessica, Laura and Khalid. A special mention must be made of his faithful friend Gerry Sprague and his life long friend Francis Ray who were a great comfort to him. Arnold was a very dynamic person. A salesman at heart, he really loved to talk, and was known for his strong opinion. He was a Manufacturers Agent for the ladies fashion industry for more than 20 years. Following this he provided professional Resume services for another 20 years. He was known far and wide by his nickname "The Long Thin Fellow" A huge thank you for the superior care given to Arnold from the Extra-Mural Nurses.
Visitation at the Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 from 12:30 to 1:30 pm. Funeral service will be held at the Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 1:30 pm, Pastor Paul Pattison officiating. Interment to follow at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. In Arnold's memory, donations to a memorial of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
