The death occurred peacefully at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, of Marie Lorraine "Liz" Landry (nee MacNeill) of Alberton and formerly of Miscouche, aged 74 years. Lorraine was born on March 23, 1936, in Miscouche to her late parents, Leonard and Marie (nee Gallant) MacNeill. Beloved wife of 55 years to the late Albert Landry and loving mother of Debbie (John) Earl of Kingston, James of Miscouche, Karen (Brad) Butler of Montague, Lisa (Ziya Durmus) of Toronto, Ont., and Tracey (James Lockhart) also of Toronto. Cherished grandmother of Justin, Jared and Rachel Earl; Brendan and Sam Butler; Krista Cousins and Evelyn Lockhart. Also survived by brothers and sisters: Desmond (Catherine) MacNeill of Charlottetown, Justin (Alyson) McNeill of Ottawa, Ont., Claire Struble of Moncton, N.B., Edie (David) Curley of Meadowbank, and Catherine MacNeill of Charlottetown. Besides her husband and parents, Lorraine was predeceased by her daughter Jocelyn, brother Ronald MacNeill and brother-in-law Ronald Struble. Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Wednesday, Dec. 29, for a memorial service in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Visiting hours on Tuesday afternoon only 2-4.
