Clifford Edward Wilson, born September 8, 1923, passed away December 13, 2010. Clifford passed away peacefully in the early hours of Monday, December 13, 2010 at the Kipnes Centre for Veterans, Edmonton, Alberta. Formerly of Medicine Hat, AB and Toronto, Ontario, he was predeceased by his wife of 61 yrs. Blanche Mamie on March 20, 2009. He leaves to mourn his brother, Clarence Wilson and sister Evelyn Cassidy and their families of Swift Current, SK; daughters Judith Potter (Colin) Kyle, SK and Sharon Robb (Brian) Edmonton, AB; grandchildren: Paul Dament (Liana) Sundre, AB, James & Heather Wastie (Dexter Gordon), Edmonton, AB. He also leaves many extended members of the family across the country. Clifford was very proud of his prairie roots and had many fond memories of his youth that he often recounted to the family. He joined the Royal Canadian Army and served in Europe from 1943 - 1948. When discharged he met and married Blanche in Toronto, Ontario. He loved fishing and retired to Courtenay, BC on Vancouver Island and finally to Medicine Hat and Edmonton, AB to be close to the family. Respecting Cliff's wishes cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 2:00 P.M., at Warren's Funeral Home, 126 2nd Avenue N.E., Swift Current, SK.
