Suddenly, Sunday December 26, 2010 at the Ottawa Hospital General Campus at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Amy Cairns. Loving father of Dale (Janice Wardle) and Debora (Michael Billie). Proud "Grampie" of Kaitlyn, Alyson, Brandon and Kyle. Dear brother of Irene (late Nick Woroniuk), Olga (late Ken Betker), Julia (late Jake Hack), Elizabeth (Steve Oucharek) and Pauline. Predeceased by his sister Virginia Sheptycki. Will be dearly remembered by many in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. Friends are invited to the St. Laurent Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 1200 Ogilvie Rd. (at Aviation Parkway) on Wednesday, December 29, from 3 to 7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Rothwell United Church, 42 Sumac, Ottawa, Thursday at 1 p.m. followed by burial at Beechwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Elizabeth-Bruyère Hospital or the Lung Association.
