Mr. Lew MacAfee of Kiwanis Nursing Home formerly of Berwick passed away at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on December 26, 2010 at the age of 91. He was the son of the late Robert Wesley and Martha Clementine (Folkins) MacAfee. Lew is survived by his beloved wife, Pauline; four daughters: Linda Waugh (Jim) of Fredericton, Candace MacAfee (Jimmy Lizotte) of Saint John, Paula McDermott (Stephen Erb) of Newtown and Jenny Robinson (Dale) of Berwick; his grandchildren; his great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Lew is the last surviving member of his immediate family; he is predeceased by his two sisters: Eleanor Ruiter and Alison Samson and by his son-in-law, Mike McDermott.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Wednesday 1 to 3 and 6 to 8pm. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 20 will hold a tribute Wednesday evening at 6:15.
