Ruby Chappell, age 91, of Tidnish, NS, passed away peacefully at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre on Saturday December 25, 2010.
Born in Tidnish, NS, she was a daughter of the late Wallace and Francis (Campbell) Lowe.
Ruby was an avid Bingo Player. For many years she was a foster mother. In her earlier years she was a car enumerator for the province, and a school bus driver. The last two years she has been a resident at Victoria Manor.
She will be sadly missed by her daughters Gloria (Ernest) Miller, Linda (Larry) Embree, Elizabeth Goodwin, all of Tidnish and foster daughter Trudy Babineau, Truro; several grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren; sister Cora Dunn, Green Hill, NS.
She was predeceased by her husband Harold; son Wallace; daughter-in-law Linda; son-in-law Doug Goodwin; sisters Peggy Goldberg and Georgia Hall.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Furlong~Jones Funeral Home, 70 Church St, Amherst, NS (902-667-8777). A private graveside service will take place in the Lorneville Cemetery in the spring.
