Born in Corner Brook, NL on August 20, 1926.

Passed away peacefully on December 21, 2010 at Hamilton General Hospital. Devoted husband to Nellie for 62 years. Beloved father to Rhonda (Gerard), Robert (Lynn) and Darrell (Carol). Loving Poppy to Laura, Michael, Paul, Jillian, Kara, Troy, Danny and Courtney. Great-grandfather to Mackenzie, Riley, Zachary (Zacharoo) and Logan. He was a proud WWII Canadian Navy Veteran. We will miss his sense of humour, endless story telling, and his youthful driving skills. So long Poppy. Visitation will take place at the Kitching, Steepe & Ludwig Funeral Home, 146 Mill St. N., Waterdown, Ontario on December 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service will be held on December 28th at 1:00 p.m. at the same location. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Waterdown Legion Branch 551 Poppy Fund.
