It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother Peggy on Monday, Dec. 27, 2010, at the Richmond Villa, St. Peter's.
Born in Sampsonville, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Margaret (Sampson) Sampson.
She was a member of St. Peter's parish, St. Peter's. Peggy was a great cook and liked to treat her grandchildren, the tea pot was always on and you never left her house hungry. Peggy worked at the Richmond Villa, Cosy Corner Restaurant and for several different families as a housekeeper.
She is survived by her children, Alex, Georgina MacDonald (John), Raymond (Annie May), Claire LeBlanc (Leo), Caren Roberston (Billy), Wilma Martell (Charles), Josephine LeRue (Wayne), Valerie George; daughter-in-law, Jessie Savoie; brother, Theodore Sampson; sister, Lila carter; 25 grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Omer, son, Billy, son-in-law, Michael George, sisters, Melinda, Genevieve, Beatrice, Grace, Delrosa, a sister in infancy, brothers, Enos, Patrick, Bernard, Whiley, DY and Martin.
Visitation will be held in the River Bourgeois Community Funeral Home in River Bourgeois, today from 2-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held in St. Peter's Catholic Church, St. Peter's, 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon, with Rev. Everett MacDow officiating. Burial at a later date in St. Peter's Parish Cemetery.
Family flowers only. Memorial Donations can be made to the Richmond Villa Activity Fund, St. Peters Food Bank or charity of choice.
