Alta M. Green of Hartland passed away on Monday, December 27, 2010 at the Central Carleton Nursing Home in Hartland. She was born September 2, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Lee and Gladys Cougle. She was predeceased by her husband Paul, infant daughter Carol and three brothers, Everett, Earle and Elvin. Alta is survived by her children, Jerry (Sharon) Green of Fredericton, Bob (Kim) Green of Woodstock, Linda (Harold) Brooks of Divide, Darlene (Roy) Giberson of Somerville, Philip (Debbie) Green of Jacksonville, Michael (Shirley) Green of Hartland, Terry (Pauline) Green of Hartland, Marguerite (Richard) Wortman of Hartland, Douglas (Sheila) Green of Dothan, AL, Sandra (Bryce) McLaughlin of Fredericton, Susan (Pat) Gallivan of Deerville, Sherry (John) Kroon of Hartland; 27 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Britton Funeral Home, 2 High Street, Hartland on Thursday from 3 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be on Friday at 11:00 a.m from the Lorne Britton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Doug Cook officiating. Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.
