Passed away peacefully at the Miller Centre on Tuesday, December 28, 2010, Harold Hogan of St. John's, age 76 years. Predeceased by his wife Shirley; Father James; Mother Mildred; brothers: Chesley and James. Leaving to mourn with beautiful and loving memories his four children: Randy (Joanne), Gerald (Barb), Linda Hill (Sidney), Barbara Fleet (James) and eight loving grandchildren: Jennifer and Katelyn Hogan, Glen and David Hogan, Ryan and Krista Hill, Jessica and Bryanna Fleet; Sisters-in-law, Anne Hogan of Ottawa, Betty Baxtrome (Frank) and Gale Barfitt (Oswald); best friends Randy Pike and Doug Sweetapple. Harold also leaves a very large circle of wonderful friends that will always be remembered in his heart. The family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful doctors and staff of the Health Sciences Centre Cancer Clinic and the Miller Centre and especially the staff of the Palliative Care Unit who took extra special care of Harold during his last days. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.; and then on Friday from 10 a.m.-12 noon. Funeral service to be held from Wesley United Church on Friday, December 31, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
