ISNOR, Alice Elizabeth - 87, Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro, passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 28, 2010, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born July 1, 1923, in Truro, she was a daughter of the late William and Inez (Belliveau) Fraser. A long time resident of Truro, Alice was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, where she was a member of the CWL for 60 years. She was past president of CWL, Diocesan Council, Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 26, Ladies Auxiliary. (60-year member) and past president of Hubtown Housing Co-Operative. She was employed at Cockshutt Farm Equipment and also, along with her husband Russell, managed Bedford Basin Yacht Club. She dedicated many years to caring for her husband and mother. Alice is survived by her nephews, Lester Dunham, Michael Screaton, Arthur Screaton; many cousins and friends. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Russell; sister, Frances (Bill) Screaton; nephew, Bill Dunham. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, with visitation 2-4 p.m., today, December 30, 2010 and where Royal Canadian Legion Branch 26, Ladies Auxiliary, will conduct a tribute service at 1:30 p.m., Thursday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Friday, December 31, 2010, in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 669 Prince Street, Truro, Father Dariusz Miskowicz officiating. Reception will follow in Campbell Hall. Spring interment will be held in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 125 Robie Street, Truro. Family flowers only.
