The death of Mrs. Faye Sutherland, wife of Millar "Buddy" Sutherland of Newcastle, NB, occurred on Monday, December 27, 2010 at her residence at the age of 76. Faye was the daughter of the late Arnim and Edna (Stewart) Sutherland. Faye was retired from North Shore Construction as a bookkeeper and was a member of St. James and St. John United Church, Newcastle, NB. Besides her husband: Buddy, Faye is survived by: two daughters: Tammy Travis (David) of Fredericton, NB; Judy Richard (Mitch) of Strathadam, NB; one sister: Doris Sutherland (Edward McFatridge) of Toronto, ON; two brothers: Jackie (Lillian) of Grand Falls, NF; Billy (Colleen) of Halifax, NS; four grandchildren: Jonathan (Casey), Christopher, Gregory and Katherine; one great grandson: Parker and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors at Bell's Funeral Home on Friday, December 31, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The Funeral Service will be held from St. James and St. John United Church, Newcastle, on Saturday at 2 PM with Rev. John Fraser officiating. Burial will take place in St. Stephen's United Church Cemetery later in the spring. In Faye's memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the ALS Society.
